Wig Commission Pricing
Your commission price
Your quote depends on the character design, base wig and materials, styling complexity, requested details and deadline. Basic styling starts at $189 USD. Shipping is assessed separately based on the destination and package.
The $5 Quote Request
The $5 Quote Request starts the consultation; it does not purchase a finished wig. If you proceed, the quote fee is credited toward your final order total.
We review your references and email the full commission price, estimated production time, shipping details and payment instructions.
Quote fee refund: If we cannot agree on a final quote, your Quote Request fee will be refunded in full.
Quote fee retention and refund exception
Review the terms on the Quote Request product page before paying. If you agree to keep the quote request open for a future order, we retain it instead of refunding the fee. The refund exception applies to 10 or more price inquiries for the same item without committing to an order.

Production Time & Rush Wig Orders
Standard custom wig commissions typically take 20–25 business days to produce. Complexity, materials and our production queue can affect this estimate. Shipping time is additional.
Rush orders are always available to request. Include your event date and the date you need the wig to arrive. We assess production and shipping together, then confirm whether your specific deadline can be met and any additional rush fee before payment.
International Shipping & Wig Protection
We ship custom cosplay wigs internationally. Standard U.S. shipping generally takes 5–10 business days after dispatch; international transit varies by destination, carrier and customs processing. Delivery estimates are not guarantees.
Your wig is secured and carefully packaged. Some orders may ship directly from our international workshop. International customers are responsible for applicable duties, taxes and import fees.
An optional wig travel and storage case may be added depending on your wig’s dimensions and availability. Ask us to confirm the appropriate size and price.

How much does a wig commission cost?
Every design is quoted individually. Materials, styling complexity, requested details and deadline affect the price. Basic styling starts at $189 USD and includes the base wig and styling fee. The $5 request fee is not the finished wig price; it is credited toward your order if you proceed. Your wig will be shipped on a mannequin head, secured with pins to help protect the styling during transit.
Can I request a character that is not in your shop?
Yes, absolutely! Use the Wig Quote Request and send the character name, series, reference images and styling preferences. We will review the design before confirming feasibility and pricing. Any listed character design can be ordered directly through its product page.
What if I do not know which base wig color to choose?
You may select one of the existing colors from our color card. Let us know if you have any trouble or concerns choosing colors! In that case, once we receive the base wig, we will confirm its color with you before moving on to styling.
How soon will I receive my quote?
Complete wig requests normally receive a response within 2 business days. Check your spam folder and contact info@cakycos.com if no reply arrives. We may ask for additional references before finalizing the quote.
Can I order a rush wig for a convention?
Yes, of course! Rush orders are always available to request. Please provide your event and required arrival dates and destination. We will confirm an achievable project schedule and any additional fee. Please note that while we will try our best to meet your deadline, we cannot guarantee it. We will keep you updated on progress.
Will I see the wig before it ships?
Yes. We send finished photos and/or videos for review and confirmation. For orders with an urgent deadline, we notify you by email of the specific deadline to confirm the finished wig or request the revision. If you do not reply by that deadline, the wig is treated as confirmed so shipment can proceed. Orders without an urgent confirmation deadline may be held while we wait for your reply. Tracking will be provided after dispatch.
Can I change the styling after production starts?
Changes to styling or other requests cannot be guaranteed once production has started and may incur additional costs. Please contact us promptly if you would like to request a change. Your wig commission includes one complimentary revision after the wig is complete, during the review of finished photos or videos and before shipment. Request this revision before confirming shipment, or by the emailed confirmation deadline for an urgent order.
What should I do if my wig arrives damaged?
Please document the packaging and item condition before removing or wearing the wig, keep all packaging and securing materials, and contact info@cakycos.com promptly. See the Shipping Policy for reporting requirements and claim review.
