How to Order

1. Submit a Quote Request

Fill out the required information and submit your commission request.

• If we are unable to agree on a final quote or move forward with the project, your quote request fee will be refunded.

• If the commission proceeds, the quote request fee will be applied toward the final order total.

2. Quote Review & Communication

Our team will contact you via email regarding:

• Pricing

• Estimated production timeline

• Shipping information

• Payment instructions

If additional information is needed, we may contact you for clarification.

Please note:

• Quote requests may be closed if no response is received within 20 business days unless otherwise discussed.

• Production slots are not reserved until payment or deposit is received.

3. Production Begins After Payment

Production will begin once payment or deposit has been received.

4. Final Confirmation Before Shipping

Once your commission is completed, we will send finished photos/videos for review and confirmation before shipment.

After confirmation is received, we will carefully pack and ship your order and provide tracking information

Production Timeline

Production timelines vary depending on:

• Difficulty

• Materials

• Complexity

• Production queue

• Custom sizing requirements

Estimated production timeline:

• Approximately 2–6 months depending on the project

Rush orders may be available depending on schedule capacity and will require additional fees.

Please note:

• Production timelines are estimates only.

• Shipping carrier delays and customs processing are outside of our control.

Special Requests & References

Customers are encouraged to provide:

• Reference photos

• Fabric preferences

• Allergy concerns

• Design details

• Construction preferences

• Examples of desired craftsmanship or styling

Reference photos from other creators may be used for inspiration only and may require permission from the original creator.

Due to the handmade nature of commissions:

• Exact replication is not guaranteed

• Minor artistic and construction variations may occur

Sizing

Most costume commissions are custom-sized for each client.

A standard size chart is available for reference; however:

• Final fit may vary slightly depending on body proportions, posture, and wearing position.

• Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements.

If you have specific requests such as:

• Overall length

• Fabric choice

• Stretch level

• Comfort adjustments

• Mobility requirements

Please let us know before production begins.

Sizing and design changes cannot be guaranteed once production has started

Shipping Information

Standard shipping:

• United States: usually arrives within 7–14 business days

• International shipping timelines vary depending on destination and customs

Some commissions may ship directly from our international workshop to improve delivery speed.

Customers are responsible for:

• Correct shipping information

• Customs duties, taxes, or import fees

• Monitoring shipment tracking after dispatch

Once the package has been transferred to the shipping carrier, shipping timelines and handling are outside of Cakycos’s control

Pricing

Commission pricing includes:

• Labor

• Base materials

• Standard construction

Shipping costs are calculated separately based on:

• Package size

• Weight

• Destination

• Insurance requirements

Prices may change depending on:

• Material availability

• Design revisions

• Complexity changes

• Rush order requests

Warranty & Returns

All costumes and props are handmade-to-order unless otherwise stated.

Due to the custom handmade nature of commissions:

• Returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted once production has started

• Handmade items may contain small artistic variations

All packages are carefully sealed and secured before shipment.

If your package arrives visibly damaged:

• Please do not immediately remove or wear the item

• Take photos/videos of the packaging first

• Contact us at info@cakycos.com before further handling

For shipping damage claims, we may request:

• Unboxing videos

• Packaging photos

• Internal condition photos

Warranty review may be voided if:

• Packaging is heavily tampered with before documentation

• The item is worn before reporting damage

• Internal securing attachments are removed before inspection

Additional Commission Policies

• Quote request fees and consultation fees may become non-refundable after extensive revisions, planning, or design consultation work has been completed.

• Repeated quote requests, excessive revisions, or multiple project changes without commitment may result in declined future service.

• Production slots are limited during convention seasons and high-demand periods.

• Rush order availability is limited and subject to additional fees.

• Customers are responsible for confirming event deadlines before payment.

• Cakycos reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or refund commissions at our discretion.
