How to Order

1. Submit a Quote Request

Complete the required information and submit your commission request.

If we are unable to agree on a final quote or move forward with the project, your quote request fee will be refunded. If the commission proceeds, the fee will be applied toward your final order total.

2. Quote Review & Communication

Our team will contact you by email with pricing, estimated production timeline, shipping information, and payment instructions.

If you do not receive an email within 5 business days, please check your spam folder and contact us.

Quote requests may be closed if we do not receive a response within 20 business days unless otherwise discussed. Production slots are not reserved until payment or the required deposit is received.

3. Production

Production begins after payment or deposit is received. During production, we may contact you if additional information or confirmation is required.

4. Final Confirmation & Shipping

Once completed, we will provide finished photos and/or videos for your review. After confirmation, your commission will be carefully packed and shipped, and tracking information will be provided.

Production Timeline

Most commissions require approximately 2–6 months depending on complexity, materials, custom sizing, and our current production queue.

Rush service may be available for an additional fee depending on production capacity. Contact info@cakycos.com for rush inquiries.

Production timelines are estimates. Carrier delays, customs processing, and other circumstances outside our control may affect final delivery.

Special Requests & References

We encourage customers to provide reference images, fabric preferences, allergy concerns, construction preferences, design details, and examples of their desired styling.

References from other creators are used for inspiration only and may require permission from the original creator.

Because each commission is handmade, exact replication cannot be guaranteed and minor artistic or construction variations may occur.

Sizing

Most costume commissions are custom-sized. Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate measurements.

Fit may vary slightly due to body proportions, posture, fabric characteristics, and how the costume is worn.

Please inform us before production begins of any specific requirements regarding garment length, fabric, stretch, comfort, mobility, or fit. Changes cannot be guaranteed after production has started.

Shipping

Standard U.S. shipping generally takes 5–10 business days after dispatch. International delivery varies by destination and customs processing.

Some commissions may ship directly from our international workshop to improve delivery efficiency.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information, monitoring tracking, and paying applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees. Once a package has been transferred to the carrier, transit time and carrier handling are outside Cakycos's control.

Pricing

Commission pricing includes labor, base materials, and standard construction. Shipping is calculated separately based on package size, weight, destination, and insurance requirements.

Final pricing may change due to material availability, approved design revisions, changes in complexity, or rush requests.

Warranty & Returns

All costumes and props are handmade-to-order unless otherwise stated. Due to their custom nature, returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted once production has started.

If your package arrives visibly damaged, please photograph/video the unopened packaging before removing or wearing the item and contact info@cakycos.com promptly.

For shipping damage claims, we may require an unboxing video, exterior packaging photos, and photos of the item's condition.

Warranty or damage review may be affected if the item is worn, packaging is substantially altered, or internal securing materials are removed before the damage is documented.

Additional Policies

Quote or consultation fees may become non-refundable after substantial planning, revisions, or design consultation has been completed.

Repeated quote requests, excessive revisions, or substantial project changes without commitment may result in future requests being declined.

Production availability is limited, particularly during convention and high-demand seasons. Customers are responsible for communicating and confirming event deadlines before payment.

Cakycos reserves the right to decline, cancel, or refund a commission at our discretion.
