Custom Cosplay Costume & Props Commissions
Request a costume, a prop or both based on your character references. We review the required pieces, materials, measurements and deadline before confirming your quote.
The $5 quote request fee is not the price of a finished costume or prop. It is credited toward your final order total if you proceed.
Costume and prop production is handled by our Cakycos Production Team. Contact the Cakycos Team with order questions.

Character & Pieces
Share the character, series, costume version and front, side, back and detail images. List each item you want included.
Materials & Fit
If you have any preferences, describe the fabric, color, finish and construction you’d like, along with any comfort or mobility needs or material sensitivities.
Deadline & Budget
Include your event date and required arrival date. Add a budget if you have one.
References from other creators are used for inspiration and may require permission. Each commission is handmade; exact replication cannot be guaranteed.
Measurement Guide
Please be prepared to provide the measurements needed for your costume/props commission. When we email your quote, we’ll let you know which measurements to take. Follow our measurement instructions carefully to ensure better fit!

We will review your quote request and provide pricing, completion schedule and shipping details via email.

Confirm Details & Payment
We will request measurements if needed and provide a secure payment method. Once payment or deposit is received, you have officially reserved your slot.

Approve & Ship
Review finished photos or videos. After confirmation, we pack and ship with tracking for you to track your package.
Commission Pricing & the $5 Quote Request
The $5 Quote Request
The $5 payment starts the quote request; it does not purchase a finished costume or prop. If you proceed, it is applied toward your final order total.
Your commission price
Full costume commissions start at $450 USD. Small props start at $100 USD.
Commission pricing covers labor, base materials and standard construction for the agreed scope. Materials, approved revisions, complexity and rush requirements may affect the final price.
Shipping is calculated separately based on size, weight, destination and insurance requirements.
Quote fee refund: If we cannot agree on a final quote, your Quote Request fee will be refunded in full.
Quote fee retention and refund exception
If you’d like to keep your quote request open for a future order, feel free to let us know and we’ll keep it open for you. Contact us when you’re ready to proceed, and we’ll update the production schedule and pricing. The refund exception applies to 10 or more price inquiries for the same item without committing to an order.
Production Time & Rush Orders
General production time is 2–6 months, depending on complexity, materials, custom sizing and the production queue. Shipping time is separate, typically 5–10 business days after dispatch.
Rush orders are always available to request. Include your event date and required arrival date in your quote request so we can assess production capacity and shipping together. We confirm whether the deadline can be met and any additional fee before payment. Please note that a rush request does not guarantee every deadline but we will try our best to meet your deadline.
International Shipping & Delivery
We ship costumes and props internationally. Standard U.S. shipping generally takes 5–10 business days after dispatch; international transit varies by destination and customs processing. Some orders ship directly from our international workshop.
Applicable customs duties, taxes and import fees are the customer's responsibility. If a package arrives visibly damaged, please document the unopened packaging and item condition before removing or wearing the item, keep all packaging and securing materials, and contact us promptly.
Costume & Props Commission FAQs
Can I request only a prop, without a costume?
Yes. Submit the Costume & Props Quote Request and specify that you need a prop only. Include references, dimensions, finish preferences and your deadline. Feasibility and price are confirmed after review.
How much does a custom cosplay costume or prop cost?
Each project is quoted individually based on the included pieces, labor, materials and complexity. Shipping and rush requirements are assessed separately. Full costume commissions usually start at $450 USD, and props start at $100 USD.
Is everything shown in my reference image included?
Only the items listed in your agreed quote are included. Specify each garment, prop and accessory you want. Feel free to let us know if you would like to commission wigs as well; combo prices may be available.
What measurements do I need to provide?
Most costume commissions require individual measurements. Follow our measurement guide and supply the measurements requested for your project with clearly labeled units. For props, provide the intended dimensions.
How soon will I receive a quote?
We may ask for additional references or clarification. If no email arrives within 5 business days, please check your spam folder and contact info@cakycos.com.
Can you finish my commission before a convention?
Rush orders are always available to request. Give us your event date, required arrival date and destination. We confirm feasibility, the schedule and any extra fee before payment; not every deadline can be guaranteed.
Will I see the completed costume or prop before shipping?
Yes. We send finished photos and/or videos for review. After your confirmation, the commission is packed and shipped with tracking. Reply promptly so dispatch is not delayed.
Can I change materials or design after production starts?
Changes cannot be guaranteed once production has started. Let us know if you have any special preferences for color, fabric or finish before confirming your order. Approved revisions may affect pricing and the schedule.
Do you ship costumes and props internationally?
Yes. Shipping is assessed for your destination and package size. Customs processing and transit can vary, and you may be responsible for applicable duties, taxes and import fees.
Can I purchase a listed character design directly?
Yes, of course! Existing made-to-order designs can be ordered from their product pages. Review the selected options, included pieces and production details before paying. Use the quote request for a new design. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to info@cakycos.com.
