Between sizes? Choose the size that accommodates all three measurements. If one measurement falls into the next size, use the larger size. If your measurements span several sizes, contact us before ordering.

Standard-size costumes are not tailored to individual measurements unless the product description specifically says so. Finished-garment dimensions and ease depend on the design and fabric.

Measurement methods

How to Take Your Body Measurements

Stand naturally, breathe normally and keep the tape level. It should touch your body without pulling tight. If possible, ask someone to help and check each measurement.

01

Bust or chest

Measure around the fullest part of your bust or chest, with the tape passing under your arms and across your back. Wear the undergarments you plan to wear with the costume.

02

Natural waist

Measure around your natural waist, usually the narrowest part of your torso. Keep your abdomen relaxed; do not use your jeans’ waistband as the measuring point.

03

Hips

With your feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. Check in a mirror that the tape stays level all the way around.

Record your actual measurements. Do not add extra room or subtract inches to make a size fit. Tell us about planned padding, shapewear or layers so we can review the fit.

Check Your Measurement Units

Be mindful of unit differences. Choose either centimeters (cm) or inches (in), use the same unit throughout, and clearly label your measurements.

For shoes, providing your foot length and foot width is helpful, along with your shoe size and sizing system (US, UK or EU).

Unsure about a measurement? Let us know about any concerns when you submit your measurements, and we’ll make a note of them.

Costume Sizing & Measurement Questions

Can I use my usual clothing size?

No, use your body measurements. Everyday clothing sizes vary between brands and may not match these ranges. Compare your body measurements with the size chart assigned to the costume.

My chest, waist and hips fall into different sizes. What should I do?

This can happen! Choose the larger size that accommodates your bust or chest, waist and hip measurements. If you’re still unsure, contact us with the product link and your measurements before ordering so we can review the options for that design.

Does made to order mean made to my measurements?

Made to order means the items are not pre-made. It may not automatically include custom sizing. Check the product description and selected options, or discuss sizing through a custom costume commission.

Should I add extra room to my measurements?

Send your actual body measurements without adding an allowance. If you have specific requirements or notes about padding, underlayers or your preferred fit, please let us know! We will take them into consideration when creating your commission.

Is this chart also for cosplay wigs?

These size charts are for costumes. For a wig commission, the head-circumference illustration above can help you place the tape. For more accurate measurements, check our Wig Quote Request page for instructions.

What will you use my measurements for?

We use the measurements you provide only for your custom commission, including sizing and fit. We do not use them for any other purpose.
