  1. Handmade Products
  • Customization: All wigs are handcrafted to order, ensuring each product is unique and tailored to your specifications unless stated otherwise.
  1. Special Requests
  • Submission Window: Customers have a 24-hour window from the time of order placement to submit any special requests or modifications regarding the wig. To make a request, please contact us at info@cakycos.com within this period. Requests made after this timeframe may not be considered.
  • Additional Fees: Additional fees may apply based on the nature of the request. We reserve the right to reject any changes or modifications or to apply a restyling fee based on the complexity and extent of work required to fulfill the request.
  1. Rush Orders
  • Additional Fees: An additional fee will apply for rush orders. If you require expedited processing or delivery, please contact us at info@cakycos.com for inquiries and further details. The rush order fee will vary depending on the specific timeline and the work involved.
  • Confirmation of Terms: We will confirm availability and applicable fees before proceeding with any rush order request.
  1. Pricing
  • Inclusions: All listed prices include the cost of labor and materials but do not cover shipping fees. Shipping costs will be calculated separately based on the size, weight, and destination of the order.
  • Express Shipping: For faster delivery, express shipping options are available at an additional fee. Please contact us for more details on express shipping options and costs. Final shipping charges, including any express shipping fees, will be provided at checkout or upon order confirmation.
  1. Shipping and Insurance
  • Transfer of Responsibility: Once the package has been transferred to the shipping carrier, responsibility for the package passes to the customer. At that point, Cakycos is no longer liable for any loss, damage, or delays that may occur during transit.
  • Delivery Confirmation: Customers are responsible for ensuring they receive their package upon delivery. If a package is left unattended, returned to us due to failed delivery attempts, or unclaimed, no refunds will be issued. Any fees for reshipping or handling will be the responsibility of the customer.
  • Insurance and Special Handling: If you require additional insurance or specific handling for your shipment, please contact us prior to shipping. Any additional fees for these services will be charged to the customer.
  • Customs Duties and Taxes: Any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by your country’s customs authority are the sole responsibility of the customer. Cakycos does not cover these additional costs, and customers are advised to review their local regulations.

  1. Warranty and Returns
  • No Returns: We do not accept returns. The warranty will be void if the package is tampered with, the wig is removed, or the item is worn after being taken out of its original packaging.
  • Package Inspection: All packages are carefully sealed, and the items inside are securely fastened to the box for protection. If your package arrives damaged, do not open the packaging. Instead, take clear photos of the package as received to avoid voiding the warranty.
  • Loose Items: If you receive a package and notice that the item is loose inside the box, do not open it. Please contact us immediately at info@cakycos.com and provide a description of the issue. We may request a video of the unboxing process to assess the condition of the product and determine if the warranty remains valid.
  • Acknowledgment of Warranty Void: By opening your wig's package and removing the wig, you acknowledge and agree that the warranty has been voided. Please email all photos and videos to info@cakycos.com for further assistance.
  1. Materials and Packaging Disclaimer
  • Potential Hazards: The materials used in the styling, packaging, and presentation of our products may contain chemicals or substances that could be harmful to certain sensitive groups, including but not limited to children, pregnant individuals, and those with specific health conditions. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the product and its packaging are suitable for their intended use and environment.
  • Liability Disclaimer: Cakycos disclaims any liability for harm, injury, or adverse effects resulting from the use, handling, or exposure to these materials by sensitive populations. Users are strongly advised to handle materials with care and take any necessary precautions.

Terms & Conditions - Cosplay Rentals

1. Rental Period

  • Length of Rental: Customers can reserve costumes for a specified number of rental days (1-Day or multi-Day Rental) via our website.
  • Return of Items: All rented items must be returned by the agreed-upon return date. Failure to return items by this date will result in late fees.
  • Extensions: Extensions to the rental period may be granted at the discretion of Cakycos but must be requested prior to the original return date. Additional fees will apply for extended rental periods and will be communicated at the time of the request.

2. Rental Fees and Deposits

  • Rental Fees: All rental fees must be paid in full at the time of reservation. The rental fee covers the agreed rental period, as well as any standard handling or maintenance required before the item is shipped or picked up.
  • Security Deposits: A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. The amount of the deposit will be equal to the full cost of the rented item(s) and will be communicated at the time of reservation. The security deposit is charged at the time of booking and will be refunded upon the return of the item(s) in good condition, free from damage or excessive wear. If the item is damaged, lost, or not returned, the deposit may be forfeited or used to cover the cost of repairs or replacement.
    • Higher-value items may require a larger deposit due to their cost and fragility.
    • The deposit will be refunded within 14 business days after the item(s) are returned, provided no damage, loss, or excessive wear is found upon inspection.
    • If damages, excessive wear, or missing items are discovered, part or all of the security deposit may be withheld to cover repair or replacement costs.

3. Condition of Items

  • Inspection and Acceptance: All rental items are provided in clean and fully wearable/usable condition. The customer is responsible for inspecting the item(s) upon receipt and must notify us of any pre-existing issues within 24 hours. Failure to report such issues may result in liability for damages occurring during the rental period.
  • Wear and Tear: Minor wear and tear from normal use is acceptable; however, the customer will be held liable for any significant damage, stains, loss, or destruction of the item(s) that occur during the rental period.
  • Damages and Replacement Costs: If an item is damaged beyond repair, the full replacement value will be deducted from the security deposit. Should the replacement cost exceed the security deposit amount, the customer will be responsible for paying the difference.

4. Care Instructions

  • General Handling: Cosplay costumes, wigs, shoes, and props are delicate items that require proper care to maintain their quality. We ask that all customers handle items with the utmost care. Please avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or exposing the items to dirt, extreme heat, or moisture. It is crucial to keep these items away from direct sunlight or humid environments to prevent any damage.
  • Wigs: Store wigs in a cool, dry place. Avoid combing or brushing wigs when they are wet. Use only a wide-tooth comb or fingers to detangle.
  • Costumes: Store costumes in the provided garment bags or on padded hangers to avoid wrinkles or damage.
  • Props and Shoes: Handle props and shoes carefully, as they may be fragile or easily damaged.
  • Cleaning and Alterations: Do not attempt to wash, alter, or modify any costume, wig, or prop yourself. Cleaning and alterations should only be performed by Cakycos or by an authorized professional. If you notice any issues with an item, please contact us immediately. Unauthorized cleaning or modifications can compromise the integrity of the item and will result in additional charges for repair or replacement.
  • Responsibility for Care: Customers are fully responsible for adhering to any specific care instructions provided with the rented items. This includes following guidance on storage, handling, and any special precautions for each type of item. Failure to follow these care instructions may result in damage to the item(s), for which the customer will be held liable. If any items are returned damaged due to improper handling or care, the customer will be charged for the cost of repair or the full value of replacement.

5. No Try-on Policy

  • No Try-Ons Before Renting: We do not offer try-ons for costumes before renting. All rented items are thoroughly cleaned and inspected, and we ask customers to respect the condition of the items by not trying them on prior to the rental period.
  • Sizing Details: Detailed sizing charts and measurements are available for each costume, wig, and accessory on our website. We encourage customers to carefully review these before making a reservation.
  • Sizing Assistance: If you're unsure about which size to choose, feel free to contact us for assistance in selecting the most appropriate size for your needs.
  • No Exchanges or Refunds for Fit: Once a reservation is confirmed, we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds for items that do not fit. We recommend double-checking measurements against your own to ensure the best fit.

6. Late Returns

  • Late Fees: A late return will incur a fee equal to the cost of one day’s rental for each day the item is not returned after the agreed-upon return date.
  • Non-Return Policy: If an item is more than 10 days late and no communication has been made with Cakycos, the rental will be considered a non-return. In the event of a non-return, the full replacement cost of the item will be charged to the customer, in addition to any applicable late fees incurred.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Full Refund/Partial Refund: 
    • 14+ Days Before Rental Start Date – Full refund minus a 10% processing fee.
    • 7–13 Days Before Rental Start Date – 50% refund of the rental fee.
    • Less Than 7 Days Before Rental Start DateNo refunds (due to scheduling and preparation).
  • No Early Return Refunds: No refunds will be provided for items returned earlier than the agreed-upon rental period.

8. Shipping and Handling

  • Shipping Fees: Customers are responsible for all shipping fees, both to and from Cakycos. Shipping charges will be calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of the shipment.
  • Express Shipping and Insurance: If the customer opts for express shipping or additional insurance, extra fees will apply. These charges will be communicated prior to finalizing the shipping arrangements.
  • Return Packaging: All items must be returned in their original packaging or in similarly protective packaging to ensure safe transit. Customers are responsible for securely packing the items for return to avoid any damage during shipping. Cakycos is not liable for any damage incurred due to improper packaging.
  • Delayed Shipping: Cakycos is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or other external factors. If a rental item does not arrive on time due to shipping delays, it is the customer’s responsibility to manage the issue with the shipping carrier directly.
  • International Shipping: If international shipping is available, customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees. Cakycos is not responsible for these additional charges.

9. Loss or Theft

  • Customer Responsibility: In the event of loss or theft of any rental item, the customer is responsible for the full replacement value of the item(s). This includes the full retail value of the item, including any shipping costs, taxes, or applicable fees.
  • Security Deposit Withholding: The security deposit will be withheld in cases of loss or theft. If the replacement cost exceeds the amount of the security deposit, the customer will be charged the difference.
  • Report Loss or Theft Immediately: The customer must notify Cakycos immediately in the event of loss or theft and cooperate in the investigation if necessary. Failure to report loss or theft in a timely manner may result in additional charges or fees.

10. Alterations and Customization

  • Prohibition on Alterations: Customers are strictly prohibited from altering, modifying, or making any changes to the rented items in any way. This includes but is not limited to alterations to costumes, wigs, props, or accessories.
  • Special Modification Requests: If the customer requires special modifications to a wig, costume, or prop, such requests must be made during the rental inquiry process. Additional fees may apply for any approved custom alterations, and Cakycos reserves the right to refuse any modifications that may compromise the integrity of the item.

11. Insurance

  • Insurance Recommendation: Rental fees do not include insurance. Customers are strongly advised to purchase insurance for high-value rentals to protect against potential loss or damage. Cakycos does not provide insurance for damage, loss, or theft outside of the customer's control, such as during shipping or handling.
  • Limitations of Liability: Cakycos is not responsible for any damage, loss, or delays caused by shipping carriers or customs. Customers assume all risks associated with shipping and handling, including any damages incurred during transit, delays, or lost shipments. If a rental item is damaged, lost, or delayed due to shipping, the customer is still responsible for the replacement cost or repair fees.

12. Liability Waiver

  • Release of Liability: By renting from Cakycos, the customer agrees to release Cakycos from any liability for injuries, allergic reactions, or damages arising from the use of the rented items. This release includes, but is not limited to, any issues related to the fit, function, or condition of the items.
    • Customers acknowledge that items such as costumes, wigs, props, and other accessories may cause skin irritation, discomfort, or allergic reactions in some cases. Cakycos is not responsible for such occurrences.
    • This release of liability extends to any accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur while using or wearing the rented items, including accidents during transportation or at the event.
  • Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for ensuring that the rented items are appropriate for their intended use, including confirming that items do not cause any discomfort, allergic reactions, or other issues.
    • It is strongly advised that all costumes, wigs, shoes, and props be handled with care to avoid any potential accidents, injuries, or damages. Customers should avoid wearing or using items in any manner that could cause harm or damage to themselves or others.
    • If an item causes discomfort or injury during use, customers are required to cease use immediately and notify Cakycos. Customers are responsible for all actions taken while using the rented items and agree to take necessary precautions when handling items, especially if using any props that may pose safety risks (e.g., sharp edges, heavy materials, etc.).

13. Allergy Disclaimer

  • Material Sensitivities: Some materials used in the construction of wigs, costumes, props, and other rental items may contain latex, adhesives, or other substances that could cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. These materials may not always be immediately visible or detectable, and reactions may vary depending on the individual's sensitivities.
    • Customers should be aware of the potential risks associated with materials that may cause skin irritation, respiratory reactions, or other types of allergic responses.
  • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to inquire about the materials used in any rented items if they have specific sensitivities or allergies.
    • Cakycos strongly encourages customers to consult with us regarding the materials and ingredients used in the construction of the items they wish to rent.
    • Customers should ensure that the rented items are safe for their personal use and are not likely to cause any allergic reactions or health issues.
    • If a customer experiences an allergic reaction or discomfort while using the items, they should cease use immediately and contact Cakycos for guidance.

14. Right to Refuse Service

  • Discretionary Rights: Cakycos reserves the right to refuse service or deny rental to any customer at its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, situations such as:
    • Prior damage to rented items during previous rentals, regardless of the cause.
    • Failure to follow rental policies, including late returns, unapproved alterations, or disregard for care instructions.
    • Inappropriate or disrespectful behavior toward Cakycos staff, other customers, or toward the rented items.
    • Misrepresentation of rental information, such as falsifying identity or rental details.
  • Right to Terminate: Cakycos also reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement at any time if it is determined that the customer is not abiding by the terms and conditions or engaging in behavior that is disruptive, harmful, or unacceptable in any way.
    • In such cases, no refunds will be issued, and the customer may be responsible for additional charges, including the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged or misused items.
  • Non-Discriminatory Application: Cakycos will apply its right to refuse service fairly and consistently. Refusals will not be made on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law under the Unruh Civil Rights Act or other anti-discrimination laws in California.
    • Any refusal of service will be made based on behavior, policies, or actions that affect the rental process, not based on unlawful discriminatory factors.

15. Force Majeure

  • Limitations of Liability: Cakycos is not responsible for any delays or inability to fulfill rental agreements due to events beyond our control. These events may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes).
  • Strikes or labor disruptions.
  • Transportation disruptions (e.g., shipping delays, logistics issues, or closures of transportation hubs).
  • Governmental restrictions (e.g., regulations, lockdowns, or restrictions due to pandemics).
  • Civil unrest or other unforeseen emergencies.
  • Communication and Mitigation: In the event of a force majeure, Cakycos will make reasonable efforts to inform customers as soon as possible about the situation and any potential delays or issues.
  • Cakycos will explore alternative solutions to fulfill rental agreements, such as offering alternate rental items, rescheduling rentals, or issuing credits, whenever possible.
  • If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, Cakycos will offer the option to cancel the rental agreement and issue a full refund for the rental fees paid, excluding any non-refundable services like shipping or insurance.

16. Disclosure of Ownership

  • Rental Item Ownership: All items rented from Cakycos remain the property of Cakycos at all times.
  • Temporary Use Only: Customers are granted a temporary right to use the rented item for the agreed-upon rental period, as outlined in the rental agreement.

o   Ownership rights are not transferred to the customer under any circumstances.

  • Return Obligations: Customers are required to return the rented item by the specified return date and in its original condition.

o   Failure to return the item on time or in acceptable condition may result in additional charges, including but not limited to:
- Late return fees.
- Costs for repair or cleaning of the item.
- Full replacement value of the item, if deemed lost or irreparably damaged.

  • Right to Reclaim: Cakycos retains the right to reclaim the item if it is not returned as agreed, at the customer’s expense.

Terms & Conditions - Buyback Program

  1. Introduction

Welcome to our Cosplay Buyback Service. By using this service, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not participate in the buyback program.

  1. Eligibility
  • The buyback service is available to individuals aged 18 and older. Minors must have parental or guardian consent to participate.
  • You must own the cosplay item(s) outright and have the legal right to sell them. Items on loan, rented, or stolen are not eligible for buyback.
  1. Item Criteria
  • Items must meet our quality standards to be eligible for buyback. This includes:
    • Clean and free from significant stains, odors, or damages.
    • All accessories, attachments, and components must be included.
    • Items should be as described in your initial inquiry form.
  • We reserve the right to reject items that do not meet these criteria.
  1. Submission Process
  • To initiate a buyback request, you must complete our Buyback Inquiry Form with accurate and detailed information about the item(s).
  • You may be required to submit photos of the item(s) for evaluation.
  • Once your submission is reviewed, we will provide an estimated offer based on the condition, demand, and original retail price.
  1. Pricing and Payment
  • The buyback price will be determined based on the condition of the item(s), market demand, and other relevant factors, and is solely at our discretion. The final buyback price will be communicated to the seller and is considered final once accepted.
  • Payment will be issued via your preferred method (e.g., PayPal, bank transfer, store credit) within 14 business days after we receive and inspect the item(s).
  • If the item's condition is found to be worse than what was initially described by the customer, we reserve the right to adjust the refund price accordingly.
  • If an item is deemed unacceptable upon inspection, it will either be returned to you at your expense or discarded with your consent.
  1. Shipping
  • After evaluation, if the item(s) are deemed acceptable for return, we will provide a prepaid shipping label for you to send the item(s) back to us.
  1. Ownership Transfer
  • Once the buyback payment is issued, ownership of the item(s) transfers to us. You forfeit any future claims to the item(s).
  1. Rejection of Items
  • Items that fail to meet our criteria upon inspection will be rejected. You will be notified of the rejection and provided options for return or disposal.
  1. Fraud Prevention
  • Submitting false information or attempting to sell counterfeit or stolen items will result in immediate disqualification from the buyback program. Legal action may be pursued.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • We are not liable for any damages, loss, or delay incurred during the shipping process.
  • Our liability is limited to the buyback price agreed upon and paid to you.
  1. Modifications to the Terms
  • We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
  1. Privacy Policy
  • We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected through the Buyback Inquiry Form, such as your name, contact details, and photos of items, will be used solely for evaluating and processing your buyback request.
  • Your information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or to facilitate payment processing.
  • All data will be stored securely and retained only as long as necessary to complete the buyback process or as required by law.

  • By participating in this program, you agree that we retain the sole right to determine pricing and eligibility for the buyback service. Disputes regarding pricing or item rejection will not be entertained.
