What to Include in Your Prop Request

Please provide:

Character name, series, and the prop you want commissioned.
Clear reference images from multiple angles.
Desired dimensions and scale, with units.
Whether the prop will be worn, carried, or displayed.
Material, color, surface texture, and finish preferences.
Any weight, comfort, attachment, or mobility requirements.
Any requested lighting, moving parts, or removable sections for feasibility review.
Your delivery country and postal code.
Your event date and preferred arrival date.
Your budget, if you have one.

For wearable props, we may request relevant measurements. For large props, tell us about any transport or storage constraints before the design is confirmed.

Requested features are subject to review and are not automatically included.

How the $5 Quote Request Fee Works

The $5 payment is a quote request fee, not the price of a finished prop.

If we cannot agree on a final quote or move forward with your project, the fee will be refunded. If you accept the quote and proceed, the $5 will be deducted from your final balance payment.

A quote request does not reserve a production slot.

How Your Commission Works

1. Submit Your Project Details

Complete the quote request form with your references, dimensions, and requirements, then pay the $5 quote request fee.

2. Review Construction and Pricing

We will contact you by email with pricing, an estimated production timeline, shipping information, and payment instructions. Additional references or measurements may be requested.

If you have not received an email within 5 business days, please check your spam folder and contact info@cakycos.com.

Quote requests may be closed after 20 business days without a response unless otherwise arranged.

3. Confirm and Begin Production

Production begins after payment or the required deposit is received. Your production slot is not reserved before that payment.

Please confirm the dimensions, finish, included components, and any special requirements before production begins.

4. Review and Ship

Once the prop is completed, we will provide finished photos and/or videos for your review.

After confirmation, your commission will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking information.

Dimensions, Materials, and Intended Use

The size and intended use of a prop affect its construction and shipping requirements.

Please distinguish between the prop’s overall dimensions and any measurements needed for wearable sections. Tell us whether your priority is appearance, ease of carrying, fit, display, or transport.

Materials, construction methods, and requested features are reviewed for each project. Do not assume that a feature shown in a reference image is included unless it is confirmed in your quote.

If you plan to bring your prop to an event, check the venue’s prop rules and include relevant restrictions with your request. Event admission cannot be guaranteed.

Production Timeline

Most costume and prop commissions require approximately 2–6 months, depending on complexity, materials, and our production queue. Your project-specific estimate will be provided during the quote process.

Shipping time is additional. Rush requests may be considered for an additional fee, depending on production capacity.

Please communicate your event date before payment so we can assess the full production and delivery schedule.

Pricing and Shipping Costs

Commission pricing includes labor, base materials, and standard construction for the agreed scope.

Shipping is calculated separately based on package size, weight, destination, and insurance requirements. Large or unusually shaped props may have different packing and shipping needs.

Approved design revisions, material availability, changes in complexity, or rush requests may affect the final price.

References and Handmade Finish

We welcome detailed references and preferences for color, texture, and construction.

References from other creators are used for inspiration and may require permission. Because each prop is handmade, exact replication cannot be guaranteed. Minor artistic or construction variations may occur.

Delivery and Package Inspection

Standard U.S. shipping generally takes 5–10 business days after dispatch. International delivery varies by destination and customs processing. Some commissions may ship directly from our international workshop.

Please provide accurate delivery information and monitor tracking updates. Applicable customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the customer’s responsibility.

If the package arrives visibly damaged, document the packaging and prop condition before removing securing materials or using the item. Contact info@cakycos.com and keep the original packaging for review.

Can I request a specific size?

Yes. Submit your desired dimensions and units with the reference images. We will review them alongside construction and shipping requirements.

Can I request lighting, moving parts, or detachable sections?

You can include these features in your request for assessment. Availability, feasibility, and any additional cost must be confirmed in your quote.

Can a prop be made to match my costume?

Include costume references, color preferences, and any relevant measurements. We will review how the prop should coordinate with the overall design.

Will I see the finished prop before shipping?

Yes. We provide finished photos and/or videos for your review and confirmation before dispatch.
